"Falling" in love with Fall Skin
Fall is in full swing and winter will be here before we know it! While Fall has always been my favorite season, I’ve always felt like it was the beginning of boring skin for me. My skin starts looking dull in October and stays that way throughout the winter months. Well, not this year. Since February I’ve been alternating medical grade EMd facials, HydraFacials and EMd chemical peels while staying dedicated to a daily skin regimen so that when Fall arrived my skin would still be glowing like it does all summer.
I must admit, I always figured since my skin has melanin and naturally prone to oily skin, I always put “moisturizing” at the bottom of importance in my skin care regimen. Emilie, our esthetician, really emphasized the importance of moisturizing morning and night regardless of the amount of oil in my skin. Who knew that using a moisturizer actually helps control and regulate the amount of oil your skin produces??? In combination with a Skin Mechanic: Topical Retinol, which aid in the turn over skin cells that would typically takes months + Liquid Sunshine: a serum filled with anti-oxidants to prevent free radicals from penetrating my skin. I have seen my skin do a complete 360 in 8 short months. Now while I love seeing the leaves on the trees turning beautiful yellows and oranges, and the wind become a little chill, I’m also “falling” in love with my skin more and more!!!
